The Core
------------------------
By 1997, globalism was accelerating, driven by free trade, the rise of the WTO, and expanding tech giants like Amazonand Microsoft. This wave spread Western culture, language, and consumer values worldwide, often at the expense of local religions, traditions, and moral systems.
-------------------------
While some viewed globalisation as a path to equality and justice, critics argued it deepened divides—privileging dominant races and economies while marginalising others. The global spread of media and commerce reshaped community identity, raising questions about cultural erosion.
-------------------------
The Asian financial crisis exposed the risks of interdependence. As economies collapsed, the promise of globalism was challenged, prompting reflection on its impact on morality, community, and true fairness in the global order.
