The text explores the tense relationship between humans and nature, likening it to a dangerous dance initiated by mankind. It questions whether humanity can restrain its dominating instincts and achieve harmony with nature. It highlights the growing evidence of global warming—manifesting as droughts, fires, heatwaves, floods, and storms—and warns of significant temperature increases by the end of the 21st century, as predicted by UN climate scientists. While the greenhouse effect is a natural and necessary process, human actions are intensifying it, leading to serious environmental consequences.

Typographic Design:
Conscious of the students’ inability to evaluate/historically depict appropriate typefaces to a given communication problem, new assignment encouraged the design of a type specimen book, construction of typographic grids, and good typesetting.
Once Legibility/Readability rules are learned, juniors were taught to “break them”, thus exploring a typographic voice of their own.
Typographic Conceptual Thinking is introduced – resorting to syntax manipulation/dramatization of space, typographic interpretation of words’ sound formation—
so as to achieve expansion and clarity of meaning.
Adobe InDesign and Quark Xpress technical workshops were conducted.
